BELLATOR BOOKS LYOTO MACHIDA VS. CHAEL SONNEN, ONE SIGNS VITOR BELFORT, CRO COP RETIRES

Four MMA legends are back in the news , and you can read what they are up to beneath.
Bellator Books Lyoto Machida vs. Chael Sonnen
Bellator continues to reserve legends struggles and this time the advertising has signed a light heavyweight competition between Lyoto Machida and Chael Sonnen. ESPN’s Ariel Helwani affirmed the reservation, though Bellator has not announced a date or location for the competition as of yet. Notably, the contest will take place at 205lbs after Machida last competed at middleweight and Sonnen at heavyweight.
Machida (25-8) defeated Rafael Carvalho via split decision in his Bellator debut and defeat both Eryk Anders and Vitor Belfort earlier that at the Octagon in what was a comeback 2018 to get”The Dragon.” Though he’s 40-years-old today, Machida showed last year that he still has plenty of gas left in the tank. Many believed he had been next in line for a rematch against Bellator middleweight champion Gegard Mousasi, but instead he will move up to light heavyweight with this big fight against Sonnen.
Sonnen (31-16-1) is currently 2-2 in Bellator and is coming from a TKO loss to Fedor Emelianenko in the semifinals of their Bellator Heavyweight Grand Prix. Prior to that, Sonnen had conquered Quinton”Rampage” Jackson in the championship quarterfinals and Wanderlei Silva before that. Though he’s 41 now and no more an elite fighter, Sonnen continues to land big-name matchups because of his entertaining struggles and colorful personality.
As far as the gambling line goes, look for Machida for a big favorite in this one. His solid takedown defense skills combined with vicious knockout power contrary to a chinny fighter such as Sonnen makes this an extremely favorable matchup on paper.
ONE Championship Inks Vitor Belfort
After a year’s signings of both Eddie Alvarez, Demetrious Johnson and Sage Northcutt, it appears the ONE Championship isn’t done signing former UFC fighters just yet. The Singapore-based MMA promotion announced over the weekend it’s signed former UFC light heavyweight champion Vitor Belfort into a brand new, multi-fight contract. Belfort was released from the UFC after declaring his retirement after a KO loss to Machida in May 2018, but ONE gave him an offer he can’t refuse, and he will end his short lived retirement when he struggles for ONE later this year, likely in Brazil because the promotion looks to expand in South America.
ONE has not announced who Belfort’s first opponent is going to be, but there are plenty of options for him. Most likely Belfort will be ticketed to a heavyweight fight as he won’t have to cut weight in that case. ONE could readily give Belfort a title fight against their heavyweight champion Brandon Vera, but they may want to give him an easier fight against a journeyman such as James McSweeney. Roger Gracie is your advertising’s light heavyweight/cruiserweight winner, but he hasn’t fought in two years. Perhaps ONE could reserve that fight in Brazil. As well, Belfort stated he’d be interested in boxing and boxing fights. Personally, I think the 41-year-old Belfort should have stayed retired, but he’ll make some great money beneath the 1 banner. Cro Cop Retires
Legendary heavyweight Mirko Cro Cop has retired, only weeks after a decision win over Roy Nelson in Bellator. According to reports, Cro Cop suffered a stroke and has to retire. Cro Cop (38-11-2, 1 NC) will retire at age 44 as one of the greatest heavyweights to ever compete at the game. He will retire on a 10-fight win streak, one that saw him struggle and compete all over the world for the best promotions in MMA. We at MMAOB wish Cro Cop the very best of luck in retirement.

Illinois Online Betting

Illinois is home to many legal, regulated gambling choices both online and in-person. In the physical world, you’ll find riverboat casinos, racetracks and a lottery. Online betting is also regulated with a variety of horse racing betting websites and fantasy sports sites.
Sports betting is also on its way to Illinois after a significant gaming reform bill was approved by the legislature and signed into law by Governor J.B. Pritzker at mid-2019. Under that legislation, in-person and cellular sportsbooks are licensed to accept a complete assortment of sports wagers from anyone 21 or older and physically situated in state lines.
As it stands right now, Illinois is on its way to becoming a gambling powerhouse between its big population and broad number of legal gambling options. The addition of online sports gambling is especially notable as that will enthusiasts throughout the state easy access to safe and legal wagering.
Online Betting Sites in Illinois
Online sports betting is currently legal in Illinois, but it’s going to be some time before the first apps are approved to accept wagers from the general public. In the meantime, horse racing and fantasy sports websites and the online lottery are legal and supply a similar encounter.

Horse racing, fantasy sports sites and also the nation lottery can offer their services in Illinois provided they possess the right licensing to do so. Each would-be gaming site must receive special approval from the state gaming board until it may legally accept wagers from state residents.
One online sports betting operator has booked its place in the Illinois market so far. Only days after the IL sports betting law has been approved, Australian firm PointsBet.com announced a partnership with Hawthorne Race Course to construct a retail sportsbook at the monitor, offer betting through numerous off-track betting locations and to launch a mobile app.
FanDuel and DraftKings are likely to join the fray in Illinois at some point a well, but has detailed any plans it has for your nation. As further operators reveal their plans, we’ll update this page together with crucial info.
Horse Racing
The Illinois Racing Board keeps a current list of gambling websites that are allowed to accept wagers on the net from residents. The current list consists of TVG, BetAmerica, TwinSpires and a couple of others.
My personal recommendation is to proceed with TVG or BetAmerica. These are the largest and most well-known sites on the listing and have the most racing gambling options.
Illinois also permits off-track betting (OTB) at particular locations across the state. As the name implies, OTB facilities allow you to place wagers on horse races in places aside from the actual racetrack. Each monitor may authorize a particular number of OTB places for a total of 43 possible facilities. Presently, 27 OTB facilities are busy. You can see the full list here.
Legal Illinois Sports Betting
Illinois legalized in-persona and mobile sports gambling with a law passed in June 2019. Following the House and Senate issued his stamps of approval, Governor J.B. Pritzker added his signature to turn the bill into the law of the land.
Under SB 690 (beginning on page 227), Illinois will issue licenses to casinos, racetracks and professional sports stadiums to operate retail sportsbooks to take wagers in person in addition to mobile gaming programs to take wagers online.
Online operators such as FanDuel, DraftKings and PointsBet may either partner with a regional land-based sportsbook operator or apply for one of those three online-only licenses that will be issued under the law.
Now, it’s merely a matter of time as state regulators draw up rules governing the business, review applications from interested sports betting providers and issue the go-ahead for licensed operators to begin accepting wagers.
The impending IL sports gambling law does have its troublesome areas such as high licensing fees and requiring in-person registration for the first 18 weeks, but complete it could be regarded as a win for sports fans. It is always welcome news when a country eventually gets around to controlling and taxing an action that has been already taking place underground through local bookies and offshore betting sites.
Mobile Sports Betting in Illinois
Casinos, racetracks and stadiums that obtain sports betting licenses are going to be able to launch mobile programs under their own brand names. Casinos and racetracks are going to have the ability to accept customers from across the state while stadiums are going to have 5-block radius where they could accept wagers through mobile programs.
There are two key provisions associated with mobile betting in IL that will inconvenience some bettors, but these problems will likely be solved with the passing of time.
First, customers will be required to register in-person with a licensed sportsbook before gambling online. This usually means you ought to see a nearby casino or racetrack to sign up for an account and verify your identity. As soon as you get that from the way, you’re going to be able to wager at your advantage from a certified mobile program.
Second, individual online-only operators will probably be banned from entering the market for the first 18 months till they partner with an area casino. When an online operator chooses to go that route, it is required by law to operate under the name of the land-based casino.
Online operators may also opt to wait 18 months then apply for one of three mobile betting licenses. Operators that choose to go that path will be permitted to run under their own brand names, but they will be playing catchup after sitting outside for a year and a half.
The good news is the two terms are set to expire after 18 months. At some point, you’ll have the ability to register online from any place in the state and also place wagers through websites such as FanDuel and DraftKings when they have not already partnered with a local casino or racetrack.
Illinois Sportsbooks
Under the brand new sports gambling law, Illinois casinos and racetracks will be allowed to use for sports betting licenses. These licenses will authorize the building of in-person sportsbooks and the launching of mobile betting apps.
Accreditation fees for casinos and racetracks are set to be priced based on 5% of every operator’s adjusted gross receipts but max out at $10 million. Expensive or not, most if not all of the nation’s casinos are likely to apply for licenses. Pennsylvania established a similarly expensive licensing scheme and though PA casinos initially balked at paying that much to offer what is essentially a low-revenue form of gaming, they ended up applying for licenses one by one.
Sportsbooks at Stadiums
Among the more unique aspects of the IL sports gambling law is a provision allowing up to seven sports stadiums to apply for licenses to run sportsbooks. Stadiums that acquire these licenses will be permitted to take wagers on site too through mobile devices inside a five-block radius.
Sports Betting Kiosks
The Illinois Lottery has also been approved to enter the sports betting business to a limited degree. Under the new law, the IL Lottery may place around 2,500 sports gambling kiosks throughout the state over the initial year of the law being in effect. After that, the lottery may put an additional 2,500 kiosks over the course of the next year to bring the total to 5,000 machines.
IL Lottery betting kiosks will not be permitted to provide full-fledged sports gambling; they might only offer you parlay-style wagers. The details of exactly those wagers would do the job still have to get worked out, however, the basic gist with parlays is players need to select the results of at least two matches in return for getting better payout odds than wagering on just a single game.
Essential Illinois Sports Betting Rules
The Illinois Gaming Board and Department of Lottery are tasked with drawing up regulations needed to enforce the new sports betting law, but the legislation itself also comprises a number of important rules that we all know will be set up once the initial sportsbooks and betting websites go live.
In-person sportsbooks accredited? Yes
Online and mobile sports betting authorized? Yes
Where will betting occur? Casinos, racetracks and sports stadiums may apply for permits to run in-person sportsbooks and also to Provide online betting
Sports betting kiosks: Illinois Lottery may operate up to 5,000 kiosks that will accept parlay-style wagers only Minimum age to bet on sports in IL: 21
Restricted Events: No wagers allowed on Illinois college teams, minor league occasions and K-12 occasions Restricted Wagers: Professional sports teams can ask the Illinois Gaming Board to prohibit certain Kinds of wagers if they are worried such wagers will impact the integrity of the games Data Mandate: Licensed operators need to buy official information in the leagues such as settling in-play wagers
Tax rate: 15 percent on adjusted gross sports wagering receipts
Added local taxation: An additional 2 percent tax will be collected from operators located in counties with a population in excess of 3 million. Money collected from this tax will go to support which county’s criminal justice system.
Self-exclusion: The Illinois Gaming Board and also Department of the Lottery will set up a voluntary self-exclusion program for Men and Women who wish to confine themselves from wagering
Past Efforts to Legalize Sports Betting at IL
Illinois’ most up-to-date move to legalize sports betting isn’t the state’s first effort — lawmakers and industry stakeholders have been considering the problem for quite some time.
Two bills were introduced 2018 trying to legalize sports betting in the event the Supreme Court overturned the federal prohibition (which it did). HB 4214 was a simple placeholder bill whilst SB 2478 could have generated the Sports Betting Consumer Protection Act.
SB 2478 lacked details regarding regulations, licensing conditions and taxation prices and handed the forming of regulations to a state agency. Which bureau that could have been was left in the bill, but that also was decided at a subsequent point. The purpose in the short term was to only end the state-level prohibition of sport gambling and then figure out the rest after.
A reading of the complete text of the bill shows the writers also pictured online sports betting being legalized. The invoice referred to”electronic” sports gambling no fewer than 29 times as a possible form of betting that would be regulated by the state agency eventually delegated to regulate the industry.
The support of local casinos helped improve the chances of sports gambling coming to Illinois, but casinos were somewhat slower to speak on the matter. However, Arlington Racecourse sounded open to the idea as it advised the Daily Herald it would like a casino to proceed with sports gambling:
“If we are treated both with the casinos and we’ve slots and table games,” Arlington GM Tony Petrillo explained,”then we have sports betting, that is a venture that would be quite plausible for this property.”
The 2018 efforts to legalize IL sports gambling failed to yield results in the brief term, but new laws enacted in 2019 constructed on these first efforts to turn that fantasy into a reality. Early disappointments have finally turned into actions with lawmakers finally getting fully on board with legal sports gambling.
Fantasy Sports
Real money fantasy sports betting is legal in the federal level as a result of an exemption by the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) of 2006. The UIGEA determined fantasy sports to be a competition of skill rather than luck since gambling outcomes do not depend on a single game or the performance of an individual participant.
State laws also welcome dream sports so all of the major US companies offering fantasy betting are available to residents. You’re welcome to sign up, deposit and win real cash at any of the sites listed above.
If you are not familiar with daily fantasy gambling, this is a form of wagering where you pick from all of the players in the league (it might be NFL, MLB, NBA, etc.) and draft a group of about 9 people depending on the sport. A virtual salary limit is enforced, which compels you to make tough decisions when deciding how to fill your roster.
As soon as you have a team, all you need to do is wait patiently for this week’s matches to play out in the real world. When the actual players score points and collect stats from the real world, your fantasy team earns points. At the end of this all, the individual whose fantasy team gets the most points wins the contest.
You can play in tiny contests in which you pit your team against one opponent, medium contests with 3, 4 or even 20 opponents or enormous tournaments with hundreds or even thousands of other people. Your purpose is to earn as many points with your team as possible and win a real money payout.
Illinois has an intriguing bit of case law history regarding fantasy sports. In 2013, New York resident Chris Langone brought a lawsuit against FanDuel.com in Illinois court. He sought to assert over $500,000 in earnings from FanDuel and among its clients under an older Illinois law known as the Illinois reduction Act.
The Loss Act is an old bit of anti-gambling legislation which makes gambling losses recoverable by the loser if the losses amount to over $50. If half an hour pass and the victim does not assert the losses, anyone may recover those losses in court. Here is the important piece of law:
(a) Any person who by betting will lose to some other person, any amount of money or thing of value, amounting to the sum of $50 or more and shall pay or deliver the same or any part thereof, may sue for and recover the money or other thing of value, therefore lost and paid or delivered, at a civil action against the winner , with costs, in the circuit court…
(b) If within 6 months, such individual who under the terms of Subsection 28-8(a) is eligible to initiate action to recoup his losses does not actually pursue his remedy, any person may commence a civil action against the winner. The court or the jury, as the case may be, will ascertain the total amount of the reduction. After this conclusion, the court shall enter a judgment of triple the amount determined.
The lawsuit was eventually thrown out due to Langone failing to meet the minimum threshold of recoverable cash and because FanDuel itself cannot be considered a”winner of gambling” because it simply acts as a middleman between bettors.
Are fantasy sports legal in Illinois?
The significant fantasy sports sites all function in Illinois and the country is home to several men and women who perform daily, but the legality of DFS has not yet been fully, 100% settled with legislation. Back in December of 2015, Attorney General Lisa Madigan issued an impression that daily dream sports violate Illinois law, but no additional action was taken and the significant DFS websites have continued to function publicly since then.
Some lawmakers also have sought to push legislation which could legalize and regulate daily fantasy sports or outlaw the action altogether. House Bill 4323 introduced 2015 and debated in 2016 could have formally legalized fantasy sports with the creation of the Fantasy Sports Contest Act, but that bill was shelved in 2016 and eventually died altogether in early 2017.
A separate bill additionally introduced 2016 hunted to move things from the opposite direction and classify the performance of a dream website for a crime. Fortunately, that charge also expired in early 2017.
As it stands today, daily fantasy sports are explicitly legal nor illegal in Illinois. The current status quo works well for operators and players, but it’ll be nice to finally find the matter firmly settled one way or another.
Several DFS legalization bills are introduced in the intervening years, but none have yet made it into law. Early 2018 saw some action on a fantasy sports bill, but excitement for this bill died and there have been no significant changes since. Despite the AG’s 2015 opinion that DFS sites run afoul of Illinois gambling legislation, the major daily fantasy sites do accept customers the nation.
Lottery
Illinois was the first nation to carry its lottery to the net after a federal judge ruled that it would be lawful for states to achieve that. The IL Online Lottery went reside in 2012 and the web site enables residents to create an account and buy individual tickets for Powerball, Mega Millions and Lotto.
Any condition resident 18 or older may register an account and buy tickets or sign up for subscriptions for automatic purchases. Winnings under $600 are credited directly to your own lottery account and may then be withdrawn straight to your bank account. If you win more than $600, the state lottery claims department will contact you with instructions for claiming your cash.
Here is something else interesting: the Illinois lottery is largely accountable for states now being able to legalize online poker and gambling. In 2009, Illinois and New York asked the Department of Justice to clarify its position on the Wire Act of 1961. Both states had plans to sell tickets on line but were uncertain if this plan will run afoul of federal law.
It required the Dept. of Justice two decades to react but it was worth every second of the wait. Not merely did the DOJ approve of online lotteries, but it ruled that the Wire Act applies only to sports gambling. This decision is that which paved the way for countries like New Jersey, Nevada and Delaware to legalize internet casino poker and games.
Internet Poker and Casinos in Illinois
Illinois was flirting with the concept of internet gambling legalization for years now. 1 attempt came in 2013 when a major rewrite of the nation’s gaming laws included a little about playing, regulating and taxing online casino and poker games. Legislators yanked the role about online gambling before the bill was passed the subsequent month.
For a time after the 2013 bill failed, there was no word or sign that online gambling would come to Illinois any time soon aside from Senate President John Cullerton once calling internet gambling inescapable. If the people of Illinois are going to be playing and gambling poker online , why should not the country get a cut? It’d be better to control it, enact better defenses for players and maintain those tax dollars stateside. This was the basic argument anyways.
Cullerton’s attempt to incorporate online gambling into the 2013 bill ultimately failed, but he says he’s not out yet. He’ll continue to push the idea and hopefully make something happen for the players of Illinois. He also stated that internet gaming probably won’t come to Illinois until lawmakers finalize and enact legislation to permit the construction of new land-based casinos in the state.
In the long run, he stated, internet gaming represents a simple source of cash for authorities in most states. Lawmakers have the capability to make a new industry overnight and generate a new source of revenue without raising taxes. The people today want the freedom to spend their money how they please and say lawmakers such as the idea of further revenue.
Online Gambling Bill Passes in the Illinois Senate
The upcoming major break for internet gaming in Illinois came about unexpectedly in May of 2017. With very little warning, language legalizing online gambling and online poker was inserted to a daily dream sports invoice at the behest of local riverboat casino pursuits.
According to local news reports, existing casinos in Illinois view daily fantasy sports as a rival company model and were initially opposed to legislation regulating fantasy sports. But, those casinos’d also been interested in expanding to online gambling for quite some time. They were able to strike a deal with lawmakers and get the online gaming language added to the fantasy sports bill.
In addition to generating consumer protection regulations for daily fantasy sports, the altered bill attempts to legalize online gambling and issue permits to operators. Present casinos, horse racing tracks and ADW operators will be licensed to apply for licenses for an application fee of $250,000 plus a licensing fee of $10 million. Operators will be allowed to cancel the hefty licensing fee against potential taxes collected on gambling revenue.
The bill had been put to a vote in the Illinois Senate in May and passed by a vote of 42-10, but stalled in the house.
Is it legal to perform offshore casinos or poker websites?
Article 28 of the Illinois Criminal Code seems to prohibit the mere act of playing with poker or wagering on matches. The code doesn’t specifically mention that the World Wide Web, but it could be interpreted to apply to gambling on games everywhere using the following text:
(a) A person commits gambling when he or she:
(1) knowingly plays a game of chance or skill for money or other thing of value, unless excepted in subsection (b) of this Section;
(2) intentionally makes a wager upon the result of any match, contest, or even any political nomination, appointment or election;
However, Illinois hasn’t once prosecuted a person for playing games on the internet. The country is home to some very high-profile poker players including the likes of Taylor Caby, that has made millions of dollars playing online poker and conducting the poker coaching site CardRunners.com. There probably isn’t much legal risk associated with playing offshore poker rooms or casinos.
Even so, we don’t advise our subscribers to perform for real money at unlicensed poker websites. The legal threat may be small, but it is not zero. There’s also a significant financial risk related to playing sites that still accept Americans against US gaming legislation. The Department of Justice has show

NEW BOUTS ADDED TO UFC LONDON INCLUDING RETURN OF JOSEPH DUFFY

On Wednesday, the UFC held a media conference for its coming UFC Fight Night 147 card, which takes place March 16 at The O2 Arena in London, England. A range of bouts have previously been shown with this card, including the main event between Darren Until and Jorge Masvidal and also the co-main event between Leon Edwards and Gunnar Nelson, also at the press conference the UFC shown the newest batch of preliminary bouts.
Joseph Duffy vs. Marc Diakese, UFC Fight Night 147
Lightweights Joseph Duffy and Marc Diakese meet in what should be an exciting connection between two strikers. NewsomeMMA first reported the news that Diakese is filling in for the injured Stevie Ray. Duffy (16-3) is currently 4-2 at the UFC but hasn’t fought since a 2017 KO loss to James Vick. He’s among the few guys to conquer Conor McGregor. Diakese (12-3) is 2-3 in the UFC but those 3 losses came in his last three outings. The UFC is giving Duffy a winnable battle here against a really beatable competition in Diakese, and I fully anticipate Duffy to start as a large favorite.
Nathaniel Wood vs. Jose Quinonez, UFC Fight Night 147
Rising bantamweight star Nathaniel Wood will aim to keep his win streak when he takes on Jose Quinonez. Wood (15-3) is on a seven-fight win series complete with entry wins at the UFC over Johnny Eduardo and Andre Ewell. Quinonez (7-2) is currently 4-1 at the UFC and is coming from a decision win over Teruto Ishihara. I know Quinonez is on a nice win series but to me this is a big mismatch and it looks like a battle that the UFC reserved in order to get Wood an impressive win in front of the English lovers.
Danny Henry vs. Dan Ige, UFC Fight Night 147
Featherweights Danny Henry and Dan Ige will meet on this card. Henry (12-2) is really on a five-fight win series and is 2-0 in the UFC with a submission win over Hakeem Dawodu in his final outing. Ige (10-2) is 3-1 in the UFC and defeated Jordan Griffin via decision in his last bout. Though Ige has been solid from the UFC, I think Henry has the higher ceiling and I would tend to prefer him .
Nad Narimani vs. Mike Grundy, UFC Fight Night 147
Top featherweight prospect Nad Narimani returns this even when he takes on UFC newcomer Mike Grundy. Narimani (12-2) is on a five-fight win series and is 2-0 so much in the UFC. Grundy (11-1) is a veteran of ACB and is riding an eight-fight win streak into this event. Grundy has an impressive record but given the degree of competition I’d have to favor Narimani here.
Arnold Allen vs. Jordan Rinaldi, UFC Fight Night 147
And lastly, there is an intriguing featherweight bout between Arnold Allen and Jordan Rinaldi. Allen (13-1) is currently 4-0 at the UFC and is riding a six-fight winning streak overall. But he has been frequently injured and generally fights just once a year. Rinaldi (14-6) is 2-2 at the UFC and is coming off of a decision win over Jason Knight. Even though Allen is coming from a long layoff I’d still have to prefer him quite heavily to defeat Rinaldi.

Betting lines: Odds for Coca-Cola 600

Kyle Busch swept to his first Coca-Cola 600 triumph — and first career win at Charlotte Motor Speedway — in 2018, giving him a profession sweep of every busy track on the NASCAR circuit (at least until the Roval popped up in the fall). The Dragon Energy Series now only has one race Charlotte’s 1.5-mile oval, and Busch returns as the betting favorite — but pole sitter William Byron makes the largest jump, undoubtedly, after winning the Busch Pole Award. Dallas Mavericks: 20-1

Here’s a frightening thought, through Tim MacMahon of ESPNDallas.com:”You do not get any better than Rick Carlisle offense, however, Carlisle’s offense got better this offseason.”
Drink that one in.
Last season, Carlisle’s Mavs tied for second in the league with an offensive rating of 109, decimal points behind the NBA-best Los Angeles Clippers, based on NBA.com. Dallas brought to soften the blow, while the loss of facilitator Jose Calderon and ace sniper will sting. And Monta Ellis can absorb a few possessions also, which will not be a bad thing for the Mavs’ attack.
The significant boost comes from Chandler Parsons, who will play at small forward to consume nearly all Vince Carter and the wing moments Shawn Marion shared. Tyson Chandler mans the middle of what should be a better defense.
What Dallas has is delicate. It depends upon the continuing and health potency of Dirk Nowitzki, around whom an offense may be built. Nowitzki is, himself, instead impressive, although that’s a remarkable thing to say about a player.
He’ll be a defense-shredder from the high post. And the rest of the Mavs will play him off as Carlisle pulls on the strings.
Doubt this set of battle-tested vets.

UFC235 Betting Tips & Plays

View the MMABETMACHINE UFC235 bets below:

Kamaru Usman Breakdown:
Woodley appears to be gaining confidence in the people after dismantling Until but he’s a champion with obvious holes waiting to be exposed. There’s not any denying he is a smart fighter that has so far been able to make competitions fight into his game-plan. The low output of Woodley is a consequence of his explosive style and recognized cardio issues in high intensity fights. When he lands his own huge shot opponents autumn, but if it doesn’t go his way he may be left looking very human. Usman is similar in some ways but offers a very different approach. Both of these guys have strong wrestling and it’s likely to cancel out here, unless Woodley gasses at the subsequent rounds.
Usman approaches fights with a high volume, constantly moving forward and keeping competitions fighting. This could create opportunities for Woodley but also means a fight going beyond rounds 2-3 will greatly swing in the favour of Usman and his relentless cardio. The value on Usman at pet odds indicates a wager in a struggle that is likely to be a very close affair. Look for Usman to press forward early and both men to struggle up from the fence. Usman is yet to display any durability issues which will be crucial here as he will be occupying some damage early. Since Woodley slows it will be Usman yanking on the scorecards and taking over.Robbie Lawler Breakdown:
Askren is coming to the UFC with huge hype that is being reflected in the betting line. While he has some big name wins, these were over 5 decades ago. Since that time Askren has fought rather average opponents with no reply to his takedown game. He seemed to semi-retire but is coming back to get a UFC run so there’s certainly a question mark . Lawler was out with harm giving him time to recuperate from several recent wars. On the scale he looked in very good shape that’s promising at the tail end of a profession. This fight will come down to Lawler’s capacity to avoid takedowns and keep the fight standing. Askren is an absolute specialist on the floor but almost laughably awful reputation. Historically Lawler has demonstrated a fantastic sprawl game and on the toes is obviously a lot more dangerous. Askren is a deserved favorite but this fight could easily turn for Lawler is the takedowns don’t come easily. At such big underdog odds it is well worth a bet about the former UFC champion.
Bet = Lawler in 3.30 (+230) chances. Risk 3 Units to win 6.90 Units.
Pedro Munhoz Breakdown:
Munhoz has been advancing at a rapid pace and can no longer be considered only a BJJ specialist. On the toes he attracts pressure and volume and his opponents always have to be weary to prevent his grappling attempts. Gabrandt is coming from two important loses and as an assurance fighter, he has to be at an all time low. Since his back operation he hasn’t looked the same and his struggle IQ is suspicious at best. He brings substantial power on the feet and decent takedown defense which is what will make this fight intriguing. The durability of Munhoz though should help even his odds standing when compared to Gabrandt who’s coming off two premature TKO’s. Anticipate a high paced fight here with Munhoz outworking Gabrandt and capitalising on errors. This is the ideal place to wager against a well known former champion with a hungry fighter relatively unknown to the public.
Bet = Munhoz at 2.45 (+145) chances. Risk 3 Units to acquire 4.35 Units.
Misha Cirkunov Breakdown:
Walker comes in as a different hyped up opponent after gaudy wins over two low ranked fighters. He clearly is reckless on the toes but his unorthodox striking and aggression will find him in trouble against better opposition. On the regional landscape Walker his not revealed the ideal chin and while his floor game looks adequate, it isn’t about the degree of Cirkunov’s. Walker is still clearly raw and advancing but using such a fast turnaround from his last fight can not have had much opportunity to get ready for the totally different style which Cirkunov brings. A BJJ specialist and Judo blackbelt, the game-plan will probably be evident with Cirkunov trying to gain top position and submit Walker. On the feet Cirkunov has revealed recent improvements and when he can steer clear of the energy, he can be harmful himself. He has looked chinny in the past which combined with Walkers electricity is the largest risk. This should be a brief struggle at which the first person to gain an advantage is likely to press for a finish. We like the stronger fighter in Cirkunov within the unproven prospect, especially at underdog odds.
Bet = Cirkunov at 2.42 (+142) chances. Risk 3 Units to acquire 4.26 Units.
Diego Sanchez Breakdown:
Sanchez is a fan favourite but clearly nearing the end of his profession. Luckily his grappling and tenacity remains, shown in his wins over BJJ specialists White and Held. A black-belt himself, Sanchez hasn’t been filed more than a 40 fight career in mma. This seems to be yet another place for Sanchez to press his advantage over a climbing prospect who is based on grappling. Gall is a submission specialist but still quite young and unproven. He looks content to fight off his spine and brings a typical striking game. Sanchez has some pretty obvious durability difficulties but if this one is mainly contested on the ground he is the scrappier fighter who will be trying to find standing and constantly pressing on the action. Gall can certainly catch Sanchez using a wild punch, but if he can avoid the KO we favour Sanchez to grind a classic wrestling operation.
Bet = Sanchez at 3.05 (+205) odds. Risk 3 Units to acquire 6.15 Units.
Hannah Cifers Breakdown:
This reduced level womans fight looks to be lined too wide for the skills introduced. Viana has the physical advantages and exceptional grappling but has revealed herself to be fairly one dimensional and also brings a questionable gas tank. Cifers is a demanding and rocky brawler that will want to keep this one standing. She’ll have to avoid the first swarm of Viana but if she can this battle can certainly turn in her favour. Given the chances on give the underdog seems to have the worth over an unreliable favorite.
Bet = Cifers at 3.30 (+230) chances. Risk 2 Units to win 4.60 Units.
